Huot is seeking a full-time Punch Press Set Up/Operator, reporting to the Punch Press Department Supervisor, with hours of 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating a variety of punch press machines to produce parts to company quality standards.
  • Checks and inspects parts for conformance of quality standards.
  • Reports machine discrepancies and production problems to minimize scrap and downtime.
  • Ability to perform machine set-ups and quick-change overs.
  • Monitors and reviews production standards and implements new or improved standards.
  • Participates in conducting a periodic inventory of in-process materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Issuing parts in computer systems.
  • Training of personnel in safety, correct press operation, and setups

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers. 
  • Knowledge of shop math and the ability to apply it.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for 8 hours a day.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Must be able to operate an overhead crane.
  • A pre-employment drug screen is required upon hire.
