SuperScoot
Tool Cart Now Available For HSK Tools
JUNE 12, 2002
Huot Manufacturing's SuperScoot
tool transport cart, designed for heavy-duty use, is now available
for tools that meet the European HSK standard. Constructed from
12 gauge (approximately 1/8" thick) steel plate, the casters
are load rated up to 1,600 pounds, whereas conventional carts accommodate
from 400 to 800 pounds. When in rest position, rear casters are
equipped with self-locking mechanisms to keep the cart from moving
and add extra stability.
The SuperScoot offers almost
twice the storage capacity of others in its class. For 100A HSK
taper tooling, it will hold up to 52 tools; for 63A HSK taper, it
will hold up to 90 tools. The user saves on set-up time by preloading
tools at the crib and then easily moving the entire setup to the
workstation. Because the top and middle shelves are angled, the
tooling is easier to see and identify. In addition, plastic
insert protectors have been specially designed to hold tooling for
a more secure, snug fit.
Measuring 26-1/8" W x 12-1/2" Dx 3" H, the drawer can be mounted underneath almost any work bench as well as tables, shelves, carts, and inside cabinets. Each drawer comes with a built-in cam-lock that keeps cutting tools safely locked away. Specially equipped with heavy-duty ball bearings, the drawer slides smoothly during opening and closing.
To
increase cart stability and strength, the bottom shelf utilizes
a new flared outrigger design and for added durability, the SuperScoot
receives a phosphate pretreatment undercoating. It is then finished
in an attractive, strong, gold-vein powder coat that is baked on
for extra toughness.
